From Katie Reutter
I am running in the Philadelphia ING Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon on September 18th to raise money for the Leukemia& Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training. I am running this race in honor of my brother Gary who is now thankfully cancer free. Gary showed his strength and determination while fighting Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in the battle of his life all while raising his son and attending graduate school to become a nurse anesthetist. Gary is now in remission and amazes me with his love of life by setting and meeting goals like completing a Half Iron Man Triathlon and most recently the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon in San Francisco. I chose the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to help others like my brother because the research done by LLS has saved lives through the development of drugs like Gleevec, Velcade, and Rituxan that treat leukemia, myeloma, and lymphoma respectively. Please show your support for this cause by making a donation to on my page shown below. No contribution is too small, (or too great). I am behind in training and could use the support there as well . Thank you for taking the time to read this.
