Poetic Review by Rodger Lowenthal

Abundant tenderness brings
A spontaneous smile of appreciation
Gentle longing overlaid on
Questions of understanding
 Family and inevitable loss
A surge of empathy
An uncloying sadness
Flows easily through these poems
The right words, an appropriate tone
     “Now that you have decided
to rejoin the silence, to become
the window out of which you arrived”
Short poems   long sequences
That teem with love and acceptance
Poems of easy tension that nudge
The reader forward
     everything contingent
          on its moment
     which is nothing
                          Days of Longing
Life death in lockstep
Equally celebrated
Here is my story   plain and simple
The pleasures of this book are immense
