Our last event of the 2010 season was held on December 18th featuring poets Dave Worrell and Ish Klein at 3 Sisters Corner Café. Worrell and Klein closed out our season with a great reading followed by open mic readers Bruce Kramer, Ken Wolman, Charity Han, CA Conrad, Mike Cohen, Noah Cutler, Susan Robbins.

The Fox Chase Reading Series presents CA CONRAD AND FRANK SHERLOCK at 3 Sisters Corner Café at the corner of Barnes and Loney Streets in the Fox Chase Section of Philadelphia on September 26th @ 2pm. This event is sponsored by The Fox Chase Review and The Mad Poets Society.
The son of white trash asphyxiation, CAConrad is the author of Deviant Propulsion (Soft Skull Press) and (Soma)tic Midge (FAUX Press). Forthcoming books include The Book of Frank (Chax Press), and a collaboration with poet Frank Sherlock titled
THE CITY REAL & IMAGINED: Philadelphia Poems (Factory School Press). His latest release titled Advanced Elvis Course (Soft Skull Press), has received positive critical praise.
Frank Sherlock is a Philadelphia based poet. His work has been published widely in the small and electronic press. He is the author of Wounds in an Imaginary Nature Show (Night Flag Press), Spring Diet of Flowers at Night (Mooncalf Press), ISO (furniture press) and 13 (ixnay press). Past collaborations include work with CAConrad, Jennifer Coleman and sound artist Alex Welsh. Publication of his most recent collaborative poem with Brett Evans, entitled Ready-to-Eat Individual is forthcoming in the near future. Frank has hosted a number of poetry series in the city, the latest The Night Flag Series and is a regular contributor to The Philly Sound Blog. His latest release is titled Over Here, (Factory School Books).

Please join us for the “2nd Tuesdays Poetry Open Mic” at The Blue Ox Bistro located at Rhawn St. and Oxford Ave in the Fox Chase Section of Philadelphia. Transportation: Our venues are located one block from the Septa Fox Chase Station. The station is 15 minutes from Market East Station via the R-8 in Center City. If you take the R-8 to “2nd Tuesdays Poetry Open Mic” save your receipt- The Blue Ox Bistro will pay your fare! The Fox Chase Bus Loop also services the 18 and 24. There is free parking behind the Bistro.
