Report from Poets @ Pennypack II

Come Rain Come Shine

Featured Poets Nathalie Anderson, g emil reutter, Michele Belloumini, Dennis Daly,  Chad Parenteau  and Lester Mobley presented an outstanding poetry reading at the Pennypack Environmental Center in Northeast Philadelphia. The reading was moved from the amphitheater to the auditorium due to weather. The event was hosted by Poet Diane Sahms-Guarnieri. The featured poets were followed in the open reading by Poets A. Amos, Ethyl Treatman Burns and Vern Rose.

Poets @ Pennypack II – May 10th @ 1pm

poets @ pennypack photoThe Fox Chase Reading Series is pleased to present the second installment of Poets @ Pennypack on May 10, 2014: 1 pm to 3:30 pm – Amphitheater/Camp Fire area at the Pennypack Environmental Center, 8600-A Verree Rd, Philadlephia, Pa. Diane Sahms-Guarnieri will host.  The featured poets will be followed by an open reading. Featured poets are Nathalie Anderson, g emil reutter, Michele Belloumini, Dennis Daly, Richard Okewole, Chad Parenteau and Lester Mobley.

McKee and Lee in Fox Chase November 27th

November 27th – 2pm  The Fox Chase Reading Series presents poets Louis McKee and Jeffrey Ethan Lee at 3 Sisters Corner Café, 7950 Oxford Avenue, Philadelphia, Pa. 19111. Come and join us for a wonderful afternoon of featured poetry followed by an open mic.

Louis McKee of Holmesburg had poems recently published in  APR, 5 A.M., Chiron Review, Pearl, and Rattle among others. RIVER ARCHITECTURE, a selected poems, was published in 1999, and a collection of his newer work, NEAR OCCASIONS OF SIN, appeared in 2006. Adastra Press has published MARGINALIA, a volume of his translations from Old Irish of monastic poems. STILL LIFE, a chapbook ofpoems, is just been issued from Foothills, and JAMMING from Mad Poets Books, is a TLOLP prize winner. Jeffrey Ethan Lee’s poetry book, identity papers (Ghost Road Press) was a Colorado Book Award finalist. His first poetry book, invisible sister (Many Mountains Moving Press) was praised in American Book Review, North American Review, etc. Lee won the 2002 Sow’s Ear Poetry Chapbook prize for The Sylf (2003), created identity papers, a Grammy nominee, published Strangers in a Homeland (chapbook with Ashland Poetry Press), and he won the first Tupelo Press award for literary fiction in 2001 for a novel, The Autobiography of Somebody Else. He has a Ph.D. in British Romanticism and an MFA from NYU, and he is the senior poetry editor of Many Mountains Moving: a literary journal of diverse contemporary voices.
