Save the Stained Glass Windows at Ryerss

Cupola atop Ryerss Museum and Library 3

Cupola atop Ryerss Museum and LibraryMany poets and lovers of poetry have commented on the great venue that Ryerss Museum and Library is for literary readings. The stained glass windows in the cupola atop the museum are in great need of repair. The Friends of Ryerss are currently raising funds to repair the beautiful windows before the windows fall into further decline and would have to removed. You can help by sending a donation to The Friends of Ryerss, no amount is too small or large. Please consider giving back to the Museum that provides such a beautiful space for our readings.

cupola atop Ryerss Museum and Library 2A letter from the Friends of Ryerss:

THE STAINED AND LEADED GLASS WINDOWS THAT OUR NEIGHBORHOOD HAS IDENTIFIED WITH FOR SO MANY YEARS ARE NOW IN A POOR STATE OF REPAIR NEEDING IMMEDIATE ATTENTION!
ESTIMATES IN THE MANY THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS HAVE BEEN OBTAINED AND ALTHOUGH THE FRIENDS OF RYERSS LIBRARY AND MUSEUM HAVE SET ASIDE A LARGE SUM TO GET STARTED, IT’S JUST NOT ENOUGH TO GET THE JOB DONE.
WE NEED YOUR HELP
THIS IS WHY WE COME TO YOU AS A COMMUNITY.
WE ARE ASKING THAT YOU DONATE WHATEVER YOU CAN TO SUPPORT THIS PROJECT. ALL FUNDS RECEIVED WILL GO DIRECTLY TO THE RESTORATION AND REPAIR OF THE CUPOLA WINDOWS.
HOPEFULLY WE CAN COMPLETE THIS JOB BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE!
PLEASE MAKE YOUR CHECKS PAYABLE TO “FRIENDS OF RYERSS” AND SEND PAYMENT TO:
